This Wednesday (25th January 2017) sees the final major changes to the terminals at Gatwick.
British Airways are moving all their operations to the South Terminal with Virgin Atlantic moving to the North. Leaving Easyjet (which currently operates from both terminals) to consolidate its operation around the North terminal.
The event will feature 4 working Deltics, D9002, D9009, 55019 and 55022 and we are working on a surprise visitor and will be a DELTIC only event. We are at the early planning stages at the moment but some of the ideas we are following include at least one dining train on the Bluebell and if possible another on the main railway network organised by Avocet Travel Management, anybody who would like to express an interest in this would they please contact Neil at firstname.lastname@example.org . Newquay Airport has announced a new seasonal route to Cork. Operated by Aer Lingus Regional the twice weekly summer only service commences operation on 6th May 2017.

Unite have announced that they intend to hold industrial action involving British Airways cabin crew on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th January 2017. This could potentially effect flights from London Heathrow airport.
Banyan Tree Holdings has announced that it has entered into an agreement with AccorHotels designed to allow the French hospitality giant to design and manage Banyan Tree branded hotels around the world. AccorHotels will invest an initial €16 million in Singapore-based Banyan Tree and both parties will then co-develop the brands owned by Banyan Tree.
